Despite a 30% drop in oil prices in June, YoY import prices rose 7.1%, and export prices rose 10.2%. This is far more indicative of the price increases U.S. consumers are actually paying than the 3.5% YoY increase in the June CPI and explains why inflation is such a big conern.

@123_sami83382 I do. You should buy some.
$SPCX is coming back down to earth in after-hours trading. It’s down 3.7% to $126.25. That’s 6.5% below its IPO price and 44% below its high. This is happening before any of the lockups expire, which expand the potential tradable float 8X by year-end. Houston, we have a problem!
$SPCX closed at $131.11, nearly $4 below its IPO price and 42% below its high. $NFLX is already down 7% after hours. Rising interest rates, war, inflation, and excessive valuations may finally trump momentum. Bitcoin was the first bubble to pop. Many more will meet the same fate.

Read the latest unredacted emails the IRS produced after losing the lawsuit I filed to force it to do so. I’m sure there is still far more explosive evidence to come, as the IRS has yet to disclose the vast majority of what the judge ordered it to produce.https://t.co/kqKDy94SOI
What’s the reason to own $MSTR? It’s no longer a leveraged Bitcoin bet. MSTR shares will keep being sold at massive discounts, substantially diluting the Bitcoin owned per common share indefinitely. MSTR is really just a funding source for creditors and preferred shareholders.
Pending home sales fell in June on both a monthly and annual basis, driven by a 10-month high in mortgage rates and record-high home prices. Contracts sank 5.4% compared with May and fell 0.3% YoY. The MoM pullback was nationwide, while YoY sales fell only in the South and West.
In the latest Trump grift, Truth Social will now sell faster access to Trump’s market-moving posts to institutional investors willing to pay for it. This is yet another example of Trump's unprecedented exploitation of the presidency for personal financial gain.
Operation Atlantis produced no charges and no evidence that Euro Pacific Bank facilitated tax evasion or money laundering. Unable to secure a criminal result, the ATO and IRS, on behalf of the J5, pursued victory in the media instead. Confidential information was leaked to Nick McKenzie, whose defamatory 60 Minutes broadcast and The Age articles falsely portrayed the failed investigation as proof of criminal misconduct. To add credibility, McKenzie likely recruited New York Times reporter Matthew Goldstein to participate in the “investigation.” The resulting bad publicity caused customer withdrawals and financial losses that weakened the ban…
The newly unredacted emails raise the serious possibility that the ATO pushed for the shutdown and global press conference to create an official event that would validate Nick McKenzie’s reporting and help him defend against my defamation lawsuit. Julie Holt specifically cited McKenzie’s interest when proposing the global event and drafted much of the messaging Jim Lee read during the press conference. McKenzie then used the shutdown as evidence in his defense. I do not yet have the specific communications proving the full arrangement, but the circumstantial evidence is compelling. What’s very frustrating is that it’s likely that, had I not …
I now know that the remarks read by IRS-CI Chief Jim Lee during the press conference announcing the shutdown of my bank were written by Julie Holt, Director of Crime and Fraud Communications at the Australian Taxation Office. Based on her emails, which specifically mention Nick McKenzie on multiple occasions, I believe she was acting on McKenzie’s behalf. The judge had not yet ruled on my defamation lawsuit, and the action against my bank was designed to be used by McKenzie in defending against my lawsuit. McKenzie did, in fact, introduce the action against my bank as part of his defense, but he lost the lawsuit anyway. Now I am hoping I can …
Based on newly unredacted IRS emails, it’s clear that the Australian Taxation Office was the driving force behind the IRS effort to get OCIF to shut down my bank as a J5 publicity stunt. It was likely also a favor for @Ageinvestigates, who I successfully sued for defamation.
The OCIF Commissioner told the IRS she would deliberately delay serving the C&D order until shortly before the press conference to prevent the bank from obtaining an injunction before the closure was implemented and publicly announced. This was highly unethical & likely illegal.
I just read the J5’s detailed 6-page communications plan, likely written by the ATO, to use the media to turn its failed Atlantis investigation into a fake success and frame my bank for tax evasion and money laundering for the sole purpose of improving the J5’s global reputation.
I just read another unredacted email showing that former IRS-CI Chief Jim Lee, on the morning he spoke at the press conference announcing the closure of my bank, still had no idea what the bank had actually done to facilitate tax evasion or money laundering. So, until the day of the press conference, he had no idea that the bank was completely innocent and that the entire press conference was a publicity stunt. He asked Justin Cole, the IRS-CI communications director, for two brief examples of what the bank had done to help its customers evade taxes or launder money. The answer is redacted, but I know for a fact that Cole could not come up w…
You can buy this set of silver certificates on eBay for $31.99. According to Treasury Secretary Bessent, you can take each set to Fort Knox and claim your five silver dollars. Silver dollars sell for about $60 each on eBay. So a $32 purchase gets you $300 worth of silver dollars. https://t.co/DtcnnK0xh7
When asked what the consequences would be if the hundreds of billions of dollars spent by AI hyperscalers never proved profitable, Warsh minimized the economic consequences by saying that capital for those companies might dry up and that some future investment would be curtailed.

Today, Kevin Warsh was asked specifically what he would do about the inflation problem. The three actions he claimed he would take amount to all talk. Warsh's plan is to convince the markets that he is serious about reducing inflation without actually doing anything to reduce it.
Doesn’t it bother you that the current Secretary of the Treasury doesn’t know that the U.S. halted redemption rights on all gold and silver certificates decades ago? If Scott Bessent is this ignorant of a basic historical fact regarding U.S. currency, what else doesn’t he know?
Is the current Secretary of the Treasury really this misinformed? He just said that if you have an old gold or silver certificate, you can bring it to Fort Knox and claim your metal. That’s false. Gold certificates have not been redeemable for gold since 1933, and silver-certificate redemption ended in 1968. If Bessent is this ignorant about the history and status of U.S. currency, why should we trust his assurances about the gold supposedly held at Fort Knox?
Of course AI will destroy more jobs than it creates; that’s progress. It means humans won’t have to work as much, as more of what we need will be produced by machines. But for those who still need or want to work, better-paying employment opportunities will become available.
The Trump administration illegally had me banned from Fox News, then committed another crime to cover up the evidence of the first. Trump ran for office promising to protect freedom of speech. The most important speech that must be protected is criticism of the government. On Dec. 6, 2025, I appeared on Fox & Friends to discuss inflation. I had been a guest on the same show about two weeks earlier. During that interview, I made the factually accurate statement that consumer prices had continued to rise since Trump was elected president for a second time. Trump immediately took to Truth Social to reply that I was a jerk, a loser, and a Trump…

When asked what the Fed would do to specifically help Black workers, I wish Warsh would have replied candidly that Fed policy can't target individuals based on their race. Also, he should have pointed out that the biggest problems black workers face are laws passed by Congress.
Warsh said he prefers using interest rates over the Fed’s balance sheet for monetary policy, as the former doesn't favor one class of people over another. Of course they do. Artificially low interest rates favor wealthy, leveraged borrowers at the expense of middle-class savers.
The biggest problem with Warsh hearing is discussing inflation without a clear understanding of what the word means. If you incorrectly define inflation as rising prices instead of an expansion of the supply of money and credit, any discussion that follows becomes meaningless.
The most frustrating part of Warsh’s testimony was his failure to hold Congress accountable for its contribution to the inflation problem. By allowing members to complain about inflation without pointing out their role in creating it, Warsh did a disservice to the nation.
Warsh said his definition of price stability is price increases small enough that the public doesn't complain. But acceptance of high inflation is no excuse to create it. Price stability means prices that remain stable. It’s wrong to redefine stable prices to mean rising prices.
