I see more orgs simply recalibrating. The AI use is hi on an individual level in some places but by no means has the overall productivity skyrocketed.
You only need to look at the operating margins of the companies cheerleading AI the loudest to see it’s still mostly a talking point and tokenmaxxing.
It’s not in the numbers.

@chamath Pro AI here. But it's certainly become a tough thing to sell when 80% of the SWE I know have lost their jobs in the past year due to companies downsizing headcounts in preference of more AI. Hard to determine if it's more the macro environment or AI disruption.
