1/ early thinking about a side project: given advances in AI, there should soon be a very easy way to find and create kids educational content that is personalized to interest, reading level, and interactivity/modality 2/ for example, if you have a 7yo interested in deep sea creatures or designing games or mythology, how can you hit the right point of the skill/learning curve? high quality specific content is rare (books probably worse than what you could ai-generate at this point) and Amazon search is garbage 3/ you could probably just start with search and auto-book, audiobook (hi @cartesia) and podcast creation (hi @notebooklm) or even videos of yourself telling stories (hi @HeyGen_Official)! 4/ but there’s lots of room for expansion as you think interactivity. Minigames with @boltdotnew? I’m very inspired by the mini-OS and app set @otaviogood wrote for his kids. 5/ perhaps you could even make it configurable from entertaining <> efficient? yes, edutainment can masquerade as education, but Percy Jackson got my daughter interested in Greek history and mythology… 6/ and math games are a great way to learn. not everyone’s kids as based as @mvernal’s. fun fact — his eldest son, on a plane ride with us, said, “can I have Pi, dad?” and then proceeded to stare at a website memorizing digits of pi for the next hour @mvernal 7/ let me know if you have ideas (technical, scoping) or have skills and want to help! the primitives for creation exist, but the next level of democratization will be at the app layer (and in design and curation). how do we make this out-of-the-box? I’ll fund it @mvernal (fund it personally! this is not a company, I think) @mvernal (while we’re riffing — “available content is trash” in particular true if you are raising bilingual kids. how can we make the easy thing the useful thing?)
