I started @8090solutions in June-2024. Initially, our first go to market was to try and build a transpiler to take CUDA workloads to other silicon targets - Inferentia, Cerebras, Groq etc. at equivalent or better performance. That path turned out to be a technical dead end. So we pivoted. When talking to potential customers, their pain point was consistently the same: they wanted more efficiency and coordination: Years of point tools stitched together created an inefficient development process. Lots of tools, lots of cost, poor coordination, high error bars on deliverability and low accountability were consistently cited. So we decided to build them a software factory. Our Software Factory is made up of five modules. The modules can be used by a technical super user but it’s best when used in a small team working together where certain folks are assigned responsibility for certain modules. You and your teammates work through each module to get software to production. Some modules use AI as part of the solution. Other parts just use it behind the scenes to deliver deterministic outputs faster. The result is something that, in the last year, has seen good adoption amongst a large set of important companies and is something that new teams have found especially valuable in getting off the ground faster. Our Software Factory has five modules: 1. Refinery - for PMs, Designers and Engineers to be able to collaboratively create a full featured PRD. 2. Foundry - for Engineers and Eng Managers to have a set of Eng plans (aka Blueprints) automatically generated for them from the PRD. Edit and change what you want/need. 3. Planner - for an Engineer/Eng Manager to have a set of coherent Work Orders automatically generated for them from the PRD/Eng Plan. 4. Assembler - for Engineers to take a set of well written Work Orders and do it yourself or direct a coding agent to do it for you. 5. Validator - for PMs and Engineers to implement visibility and traceability throughout the code and get a simple dashboard to see if there is drift or not. That’s it. Lots of other stuff under the hood but it has helped our team build in a more streamlined, efficient and accountable way. If you’d like to try it: https://t.co/0RJT5iwRhS We’re rolling through an ALPHA right now.
