Infosys cut its revenue forecast this week. The reason it gave is that enterprises are moving their budgets out of outsourced hours and into AI they can control. The outsourcing model was built on billing by the hour, which only grows when the work stays slow and manual. So when businesses can, instead, build something in weeks/months and watch exactly what it does, the business model of time and materials stops making sense. Large regulated enterprises that have high demands on precision and quality are using 8090's team and our Software Factory to help rewrite years of old code and eliminate billions of dollars of sunk cost with it. Marijuana is disgusting. Regular use is a one way door to becoming a retard and a loser. Go out. Have a glass of wine. Be social. Get some sun. Take an uber. Fin.
Heresy to the buffoon tokenmaxxers…
And you’re worried about distillation? This is sad if true. A slowdown in tokenmaxxing would stop this madness.
A cogent explanation about what we are dealing with: do we want an ecosystem of like-for-like tools or monopoly lock-in? The former is better and benefits everyone. The latter only benefits a few. This especially matters on issues of security.
8090's Software Factory is the unified control plane that turns product and engineering organizations of large enterprises into a self-improving machine. - It centralizes context. - It provides an agent harness for an entire product organization, not just a repository. - It provides a collaborative environment within the harness where all product development operations are governed. - It is opinionated on where agents drive the work and where humans provide judgment and direction. - It traces every output back to the original intent. - It refines the product harness with every interaction. The most important company in AI is an American open source company. No federal permission slip required. https://t.co/P0EMyPii87
Markets are unforgiving.
I reaffirm these comments.
Here is what all these sideline commentators don’t understand: THERE IS NO PRICE DUMPING IN OPEN SOURCE AI China can price dump in manufacturing. Why? Because we destroyed our means of equivalent production and so can’t do the same. But manufacturing is not AI. China CANNOT price dump in open source AI. Why? Because everything in open source, by definition, is public domain and available to everyone at no cost. The most important thing that this means is that we can do the same thing as China as long as we have the will and the people to do it. And we have both. - America is still the leader in frontier AI. - America has the smartest dev…
Open source Pod!!!
Open is the way. Jensen is right.

When the GAO looked back at the ten most critical federal systems flagged for modernization in 2019, only three had crossed the finish line six years later. The reason for a 70% failure rate, unfortunately, is that most modernization contracts reward maintenance over completion. So a vendor's natural incentive is to keep moving the finish line slightly out of sight. This way, programs never finish. It is the math of a vendor model refusing to kill their golden goose because roughly eighty cents of every IT dollar goes to keeping old systems breathing. If you can change what the contract pays for, however, or find vendors that will give you…

Deep Dive: What Happens When AI Learns to Hack In 2026, cybersecurity stocks have outperformed the S&P 500 by more than 3x. At the same time, frontier AI is beginning to change both how cyberattacks are built and how organizations defend against them. This week, OpenAI disclosed that its models escaped a sandbox and broke into Hugging Face’s infrastructure during a controlled test. Governments are using these same capabilities. Whether the target is a company or a country, attackers usually get in through a person or a technical weakness. That can mean a phishing email, stolen password, unpatched device, misconfigured system, or newly disc…

Open source! Let the market cook…
🤔
Elon’s original vision of an open, American AI was right. He could still flip Grok to open source which could be checkmate. Why? If you flip Grok open source, you necessarily move all margins out of the model layer and down into the infrastructure (chips + CSPs) and above to apps. He owns a massive data center build, owns next gen inference AI and owns the most used app (Cursor). So arguably he would make *more* margin by doing this. Then moving the DCs to space makes even more sense.
🤨
In other words, the cost of distilling is $1.5B.
Tricking the US Government to protect frontier labs’ business model by using a China boogeyman is a mistake. It is protecting the equity of 5,000 people who are investors in OAI and Ant at the sale of everyone else. This would be a terribly stupid decision. Let the market sort this out! The events of the past few weeks may simply mean that the frontier labs’ business model is not good and that their revenues aren’t sustainable. That’s ok. It’s ok to have a business model that worked for some time then all of a sudden didn’t (remember Groupon)! This still leaves a lot of value for a lot of other American companies: - CPUs - GPUs - hypers…
