Wall Street refuses to put its money where its mouth is. Despite outlandish price targets for Bitcoin, big banks don’t even believe Bitcoin will rise 12% per year. If they did, $STRC would be trading near $100. Instead, it’s under $87, pricing in substantial dividend-cut risk.

It seems like our goal with the Iran war is to get back to the status quo that existed before we started it, only with higher oil prices. The main difference will be that lives will have been lost, property destroyed, & in the long run, over a trillion dollars borrowed and spent.

The U.S. trade deficit soared by 42% in May to $77.6B, as imports rose and exports fell. For all Trump's rhetoric and tariffs meant to reduce our trade deficits, we are more reliant than ever on the rest of the world to produce what we consume and lend us the money to buy it.

On CNBC @steveliesman pointed out that people want health care. Of course they do. People want lots of stuff. But that doesn't mean it's the government's job to provide it. The government's only legitimate role is to stay out of the way so people can pursue that stuff themselves.

The Trumps made billions selling crypto and shares in Trump-related companies to the public. But their gains did not result from actual value creation, but from the losses suffered by investors who bought the overpriced crypto and shares they sold. Many buyers expected to lose money, as the purchases were disguised bribes. Some likely didn't care if they made money, as they bought small amounts just to show their support. But the majority were likely unsophisticated Trump loyalists, who actually expected to make money on what they believed were legitimate investments. My guess is that the Trump Organization will be overwhelmed by lawsuits as…

Trump's crypto donors likely called in a favor to get Trump to tease the possibility of allowing Trump accounts to buy Bitcoin by telling a reporter that he's “become a big crypto guy.” Trump's already made a killing off crypto, but hopefully he won’t rip off Trump accounts too.

Trump rang the opening bell today to ring in his new Trump accounts. But there is nothing to celebrate, as the $1,000 federal contribution to these accounts is funded by issuing more debt. So the kids who get the money also inherit the debt. Cutting spending would be far better.

$MSTR now has a completely different business model. Instead of selling common and preferred stock and issuing debt to buy Bitcoin, the new strategy is to sell Bitcoin to pay interest and dividends, pay off debt, buy back shares it sold, and hope that Bitcoin’s price goes way up.

XPost

$MSTR spent the last two weeks selling Bitcoin. The average price on 3,588 Bitcoin sold was $60,196.73. Given MSTR’s average cost, that’s a realized loss of about $15K per Bitcoin, or about $54 million. With over 840K Bitcoin left to sell, the total losses will be much greater.

@brianeskow Bernie sanders is also a fascist. So are most democratic socialists. They are more fascist than Trump.

@TrendingBitcoin So just because the Chinese are smart enough to realize Bitcoin is worthless we should be dumb enough to waste our resources on it?

@Bitcoin_Teddy Why make millions when you can make billions? Waiving his salary is just a distraction. It feeds the false narrative that Trump isn't in it for the money. It's publicity. It's all part of the show.

Happy 250th, America. The Air Force is up early doing flyovers as the tall ships keep sailing in below. It's quite a show. Hopefully last night's storm doesn't return. https://t.co/BNeOAC6L0X

Trump promised to end the Russia-Ukraine war as soon as he took office, yet it's still raging with no end in sight. Trump promised not to start any new wars, yet he started one with Iran. Given that he also broke his economic promises, why is Trump still so popular with his base?

The 6K manufacturing jobs gain originally reported for May was revised to a loss of 2K jobs. June's 3K gain means that a total of 73K manufacturing jobs were lost since Trump took office for the second time. Trump's tariffs have done nothing to bring back lost manufacturing jobs.

XPost

Full-time employment in June collapsed by 514K, to the lowest level since 2024, bringing total full-time job losses to 2.239 million since Trump took office for the second time. This massive job loss, together with rising consumer prices, is why Trump's popularity is so low!

XPost

The Govt. claims just 57K jobs were created in June, well below the 115K expected. May's jobs were revised down from 172K to 129K. The unemployment rate slipped to 4.2% as over 700K people left the labor force, sending the participation rate to 61.5%, the lowest since March 2021.

@Vivek4real_ But what if Bitcoin falls sharply. Then how many years do you have?

XPost

When asked about the $2.2B he personally raked in last year while President, Trump replied, “Everybody is profiting.” Trump made $1.4B in crypto alone, but most of the people who bought tokens or meme coins he sold lost money. Maybe he meant everybody named Trump is profiting.

Bitcoin has support at $58,000. I doubt it will hold. Once it gives way, Bitcoin could collapse below $50,000, testing the August 2024 low. If that support fails too, the next level is around $20,000. Strategy will have to sell a lot more Bitcoin to maintain its dollar reserve.

XPost

Why do Bitcoiners think $20K Bitcoin is so unlikely when it traded below that level just 3.5 years ago? That’s not a long time. It’s not unusual for stocks to make 3.5-year lows, so why wouldn’t Bitcoin do the same thing, especially given that it’s more volatile than most stocks?

XPost

The current yield on $STRC is 15%. That means to get the price back up to $100, Strategy must raise the dividend rate from 12% to 15%. That will increase its cash burn, forcing $MSTR to sell more Bitcoin sooner to maintain the new minimum U.S. dollar balance in its cash reserve.
