Now physically the US is winning, but economically Iran is. They have lived decades with sanctions, currency crisis's, instability, isolation etc.. That's nothing new to them.
While the US is quite soft with low economic pain tolerance. We have a government that folds if stocks pullback. If diesel, and oil prices go much higher. Oil +100, diesel $5+ than we are going to see a much weaker economy in the US. Which arguably there are already signs of that with tax receipts being sluggish, and some signs of spending slowing. There are some warning signs. I'm not really sure if we have an outlet to resolve it anymore as Iran continues to play the slow game and potentially waiting for the right moment to escalate further (spr being lower, midterms) But its clear it was a big miscalculation at this point and I'm not really sure what the way out is there. The worry to me is that, if it isn't resolved soon. The US could end up in a lot more pain with both high unemployment and high inflation.
