Bitcoin hodlrs probably have a large percent of their net worth in crypto and therefore have not been able to qualify for a mortgage. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to shift some of their bitcoin to Coinbase to serve as collateral for a once unattainable new home.

Quoted context

These are the quoted author’s words.

@CathieDWood @pulte @GrousARK @CathieDWood, the people who tend to hold significant Bitcoin holdings, such that the amount is enough to provide benefit in a loan application tend to hold them self-custody. This order counts only centralised holdings (completely against Bitcoin/crypto ethos—but that is a different argument). I would think it unlikely these people would move their holdings to a centralised exchange just to benefit their application — I for one would definitely not do this. What would you say to this?
