People have not got their heads around the new demographics of infinite agents with infinite demand for intelligence and also an infinite demand for money. The more intelligence we create, the more demand there is. The cheaper we make it, the more demand there is. We're so used to constrained resources we cannot get in our heads what is happening. And yes even all the bottlenecks are being cleared.
I captured Jevons' paradox at GMI and it is hugely observable. https://t.co/NP0qfBQ4xr
It's going to keep going and going and going. And the only thing that slows it down is the input - the energy buildout - and then the data center buildout.
And almost all of that is bureaucracy.
To be fair it's probably a positive thing. It just slows the pace of change enough that people can deal with it a tad easier. But it's still going to be a huge societal issue.
But in the end humans and human infrastructure move far too slowly to deal with any of this.
By my estimation intelligence is doubling every 4.7 months and is the first example in biology or physics of Reed's law, observed - an exponential of an exponential. https://t.co/3aYFEb7WIr
This, my friends, is the Exponential Age, in its transition towards the Economic Singularity...
What a time to be alive!
