They sell the SAME network under another name for $15. Half compliment, half ripoff alert.
✅ T-Mobile owns Mint Mobile. Mint runs on T-Mobile's towers.
✅ Mint's 5GB plan works out to $15 a month when you pay for a year.
😇 T-Mobile is the absolute best, like the least dead spots and the fastest service that I have ever seen anywhere.
😇 The problem is you're paying 140 bucks and most people don't need unlimited data.
➡️ I run both on the same phone. I've uploaded videos on the cheap one at the same speeds.
😇 It's the same freaking tower in the same network.
➡️ So why two brands? If the big brand sold a $15 plan, everyone paying $60 or $80 would drop down to it.
😇 T-Mobile would be screwed, baby.
➡️ Same reason the store brand nuts and the name brand nuts sit on one shelf at two prices. Same nuts.
➡️ Not sponsored by any of them.
🚨 The catch: cheaper plans can get slowed when the network is crowded, and $15 means paying a year up front. Three carriers run this market. That's the wedge SpaceX is going after.
