I think a better argument might be visa-friendliness. Even still…if there was demand it would exist.

@R_H_Ebright Fair point, Richard. 🙂 But the deeper question is: *why* don’t those United routes exist given the enormous growth in those places? Perhaps other airlines are different, but the nonexistent United routes do correlate with nonexistent media coverage of the rise of the East.
