Just for fun (I have no position in $NVDA or datacenters) here's a comparison of Huang's language alongside commentary from $CSCO et al. back in 2000 when I started as a sell-side tech equity analyst. When the language becomes overly superlative like $NVDA today it makes me nervous @michaeljburry “Blackwell sales are off the charts, and cloud GPUs are sold out” “We’ve entered the virtuous cycle of AI. The AI ecosystem is scaling fast.” Nvdia CEO Nov 2025 “We see no indications in the marketplace that the radical Internet business transformation… is slowing — in fact, we believe it is accelerating globally.” Cisco CEO Q4 earnings release: August 2000 “…we experienced parts shortages because of industrywide capacity constraints and unprecedented demand for our communications products.” Agilent CEO: Nov 2000 "[b]ased on the momentum we have experienced during the first nine months and the strong order backlog, we continue to expect that our percentage growth in 2000 over 1999 will be in the low 40's" Nortel October 2000 press release (later used in litigation)
