Tyler is correct to have a tempered view. A PPA doesn't leverage Google's vast balance sheet. W/ NVIDIA GPUs, Google pays capex for the equipment. Here, the capex requirement is on the startup (with a much higher COC), & startup holds all the technology & performance risk. Same structure as NuScale/UAMPS I believe - which ended poorly.

There will be justifiable excitement re: Google’s announcement w/ Kairos, and until more is known, caution is also justified. How definitive is PPA? What are exit terms? Who bears cost overrun risk? How realistic is timeline? Many unknowns, but hopefully more intel to come. https://t.co/l4wLnKl2tm
