Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to my sister, Hasini. She worked on behalf of the leading hospital system in Toronto to bring @neuralink there. A very complicated set of agreements making them the first place outside of the US to do this groundbreaking work. She’s an incredible person…and lawyer!
Jensen describes the status quo very accurately. America needs to massively increase our energy output so the rest of our competitive advantages can compound unimpeded.
A reminder from Elon about the bitter lesson. The following coordination of machines and electrons will win: 1B AI chips 1 TW power 100M robots This is now all about capital, speed and scale.
Go to 1:15… Katie Porter is multi-dimensionally ugly. Hard to do. Congrats Katie!
When geopolitical & socio-economic tensions rise, both people & nations turn to hard assets. One big buyer in particular has been Beijing. China has been swapping Treasuries for gold for years, lifting reserves to over 74m ounces. This is a reflection of both state policy and popular sentiment: hedging against dollar risk, sanctions, and China’s own shaky property and stock markets. It’s a signal of rising uncertainty in the world. More on China’s economic, industrial, and tech policies in this week’s deep dive: https://t.co/bW0eSzTPgx
Good to see Democrats in California embracing an outsider for Governor. https://t.co/3vm8oLNYB7
Probably not ideal that wherever you go or whatever index you buy, you end up buying the same thing.
I think the odds are non zero that Bryce plays at Arizona for a year, declares for the draft and we see him, Bronny and Bron all playing on the Lakers in 2026.
Google, a private for-profit software company, has had five Nobel Laureates work for them. Most universities have had none.
Everything is markets. Incredibly proud to be a partner of @Polymarket and @shayne_coplan. This guy is a beast. Also, personally, I’m excited to work more closely with Jeff Sprecher and @NYSE!!
She’s right wing (ish) and believes in deficit spending when there is a high savings rate. IOW, money printer in Japan about to go brrrrrrrr…
Here is some additional data related to my comments…hopefully this helps the cope. https://t.co/6JxYZ1NpTW
It used to be the case that tech companies viewed each other as the competition. These deals increasingly show that the competition is everyone NOT in tech. The haves/have nots are becoming very brightly delineated rn.
An important feature of Grokipedia will be “The Big Diff List”: A list of the most manipulated Wikipedia pages (from the Grokipedia truth baseline) so that Google search deboosts those pages from search AND Common Crawl excludes them from training data. In other words, if the human editors and their funders at Wikipedia are engaged in misinformation and content manipulation, Grokipedia can hold them accountable and shine a bright light on it so those that feed Wikipedia its traffic act.
What I read this week... 1) This was a big week for AI video generation with Meta launching Vibes on September 25 and OpenAI following five days later with Sora 2. Meta moved first with Vibes, an AI video feed within the Meta AI app, built in partnership with MidJourney and Black Forest Labs. The app allows for native image to video generation with a restyle option and music addition. The app also links to Instagram by allowing remixes when you see a “Vibes” video on your feed. The launch landed awkwardly with a wave of critics. The skepticism was focused on how the tool will be used to lock users into doom scrolling low quality content. …
💯 Be pragmatic and think for yourself at all times.

Deep Dive: China’s Industrial Might and Domestic Policy About 6 months ago, after an eye-opening dinner with two CEOs building an American supply chain for EV battery materials and rare earths, I posted on X: “The difficulty in beating China won’t come down to tariffs but mercantilism. The Chinese have 1-2 ‘National Champions’ for critical parts of the global economy.” With further research, I want to expand on what China’s industrial playbook has been. Beijing doesn’t simply pick “National Champions” and back them with unlimited capital. That would be highly inefficient - the Soviets tried it and, broadly speaking, failed. Part of what …
One of the great things in building Software Factory at https://t.co/fkfTXgdfXK is that our customers have pulled us into building them some very interesting new features. Like a car, Software Factory was initially designed to work best in “D”. The Factory runs forward - allows teams to collaborate with AI, agents and other humans in a tight loop to build demanding, production grade enterprise software: PRD —> Eng Plan —> Work Orders —> Agents/Code —> Validation But one of our customers asked us to enable Software Factory to run in “R”. So we built it. They wanted to be able to dump massive blocks of legacy code into Software Factory, und…
President Trump got Intel to give Team America 10% of itself at $0. An insane negotiation. All of this upside accrues to American taxpayers which is really incredible. Trump now has a better IRR than Buffett. Deal with it because its mathematically true.
Corrupt websites + hi order search ranking == simplest way to manipulate AI training data Need training to move to synthetic data that isn’t subject to these hacks asap.
The knock-on effect of a biased Wikipedia: LLMs ingest and learn from a biased Wikipedia and then becomes biased itself… Ask yourself if this is the best way to know what’s actually going on… https://t.co/jQYB8NbfKv https://t.co/71FHWhwXBs
Insane… $900k/yr in LA is spent per homeless person. Imagine the number of homes that could be built and sold to teachers, cops and firefighters with this!
As with all phases of the capital markets cycle, there are the pioneers, the fast followers, mainstream practitioners and the laggards with each group bigger than the one before it. The issue here is that with 19k PE firms, this asset class is firmly in the “laggard” bucket. The only thing that can correct this is distributions. But with few IPOs and without new capital coming into PE, there are less opportunities to sell to other PE firms…creating a big negatively reflexive cycle downwards. Some big LP will soon call it and cut their allocation to PE making it ok for others to fast follow and do the same. And then the cycle of PE LPs cut…
Simple but effective advice.
Agreed. The YC ARR circle jerk is not the positive indicator people think it is. Have unfortunately learned this the hard way.

An amazing response by Tiger’s dad when asked to answer about Tiger’s identity. “What race is Tiger?” “The human race…”
