Four years ago today Euro Pacific Bank was put into receivership, not because it served the interests of customers, but the public relations goals of the corrupt IRS agents and Puerto Rico banking regulators who shut the bank down. See the evidence here. https://t.co/g5n3gQmXPy

Since Oct. 2025, Strategy spent almost $17B buying Bitcoin. Yet despite that support, the price fell by 53%. If Bitcoin was that weak with Strategy buying $17B, imagine how much weaker it will be with Strategy selling $3.25B, plus more to maintain its minimum U.S. dollar reserve.
Gold is back below $4K again. The Japanese yen is also hitting a new 40-year low against the dollar this evening, which is likely weighing on gold. But yen sellers are jumping from the frying pan into the fire by buying dollars. A much better move would be buying gold instead.
If @Saylor crushed Bitcoin when he announced the sale of just 32 Bitcoin, imagine the impact of today's announcement authorizing $MSTR to sell $3.25B worth of Bitcoin. At $60K, that's over 54,000 Bitcoin. Of course, as Bitcoin falls, more must be sold to raise that dollar amount.
$MSTR is now a Bitcoin seller. Under its just-announced “Bitcoin Monetization Program” it may sell Bitcoin for three purposes: to raise up to $1.25B to fund its USD reserve, to pay preferred dividends & debt interest, and to fund $1B of preferred and $1B of common stock buybacks.
In a recent interview @Saylor described the digital credit instruments $MSTR creates as being equivalent to “a bank account with no stress and no volatility that pays 10%.” That's materially false and misleading. Last week $STRC fell by 18% and traded as low as 28.75% below par.
MSTR trading at mNAV doesn't mean everything is OK. The current market cap of $MSTR is $30B, while the current value of its Bitcoin is $50B. Until MSTR’s market cap rises above the value of its Bitcoin, any Bitcoin bought by issuing MSTR shares creates a negative Bitcoin yield.
Jeff Gundlach warned that the U.S. Govt. may lower coupons and extend maturities on its debt to avoid default or inflation. I've warned about this for over a decade. So you go to sleep owning a 2-year T-note with a 4% coupon and wake up owning a 30-year T-bond with a 1% coupon.
@thesamuelblue It's not ridiculous. It's good advice. I'm in that business.
I just listened to an interview with Jeff Gundlach, where he recommended that U.S. stock market investors put 100% of their portfolios into foreign stocks without hedging currency risk. I agree. The "Sell America" trade is still early.
@TrendingBitcoin So what does that tokenization have do to with Bitcoin? If anything tokenized something will compete with Bitcoin, which is tokenized nothing.
The Republican Party was once dominated by liberal Republicans, known as Rockefeller Republicans. Conservative Republicans, known as Goldwater Republicans, were a minority until Reagan led a successful conservative revolution. @JDVance wants to return the party to the Nixon era.
MSTR has a market cap of $29.54 billion, yet owns just over $50 billion worth of Bitcoin. Not only does MSTR have an unrealized loss of nearly $14 billion on the Bitcoin it bought, but the market value of $MSTR stock is worth less than half of the money @Saylor spent to buy it!
Gavin Newsom is right that living standards have fallen for younger Americans. But his solution — a wealth tax, higher income and estate taxes, and nationalized stakes in AI companies — would make the problem worse. Living standards rise through productivity growth, which requires capital investment. Newsom’s plan would destroy capital and undermine the growth needed to help the very people he claims to champion. The problem isn’t that taxes are too low; it’s that government spending is too high. We don’t need higher taxes. We need to repeal the income and estate taxes, slash government spending, and return resources to the private sector whe…
.@JoeSquawk also claimed Bitcoin has value because it's proof of work. But the work it proves itself has no value. If I can prove I dug a hole and filled it back up with the same dirt, what value did I create? Gold mining is valuable work, as the result is usable physical gold.
Yesterday @JoeSquawk claimed Bitcoin is money just like seashells once were. But seashells had non-monetary value before they became money. They were decorative, worn as jewelry, sewn into clothing, and used in rituals. They were commodity money, like gold — nothing like Bitcoin.
@TrendingBitcoin Yes but all the Bitcoin is worthless if strategy owns all the Bitcoin and no one else wants to buy any of it.
The demise of Strategy portends far greater negative consequences for Bitcoin and the crypto industry than did the collapse of FTX. For that reason, @Saylor will soon be viewed as an even bigger villain than SBF. Those who covered for him will have a lot of explaining to do.

Those of you who think @Saylor can solve the $STRC problem by selling Bitcoin should read my warning from this Oct. 2024 post. $MSTR can't sell Bitcoin without crashing the price of Bitcoin. Even if Strategy merely stops buying Bitcoin, that change alone would crush the market.

I believe @Saylor has legal exposure not because of his high-risk strategy, but because of his promotion of $STRC to risk-averse retirees who sought to preserve principal, and his baseless, pie-in-the-sky Bitcoin price predictions used to entice investors into buying $MSTR.
On numerous occasions @Saylor assured risk-averse investors that $STRC took the volatility out of Bitcoin. That they could get an 11.5% yield based on Bitcoin credit without assuming the volatility of Bitcoin itself. Over the past month Bitcoin is down 22% while STRC is down 28%.
The U.S. goods trade deficit soared over 28% in May, jumping to $105.8 billion, the largest since Mar. 2025, driven by a 5.4% fall in exports and a 3.6% rise in imports. This flies in the face of Trump's claim that his tariffs will help reduce America's persistent trade deficits.
The longer the Fed waits to hike interest rates, the more likely the next move is a cut. Not because inflation comes down, but despite inflation going up. If the Fed cuts, it will be to “stimulate” a weakening economy, prop up falling asset prices, or avert a financial crisis.
Trump wants the DOJ to investigate oil companies for price-gouging consumers with high gas prices. But when he ran for president and Kamala Harris accused grocery stores and supermarkets of doing the same thing with food, he accused her of advocating socialism. He was right.
Inflation is now so bad that even computer and cell phone prices are rising sharply. Electronics were one of the few places consumers got relief, as productivity gains offset government-created inflation. The Fed can't hike rates enough to put this genie back in the bottle.
$DJT is down another 6% today, hitting a new all-time low. It's down 60% in the past year. The stock is down 96% from its all-time high. This provides yet another example of the dangers of jumping on bandwagons to buy overpriced assets, and is a harbinger of what's to come!
I think @Saylor’s recent absence from the media is not a coincidence. My guess is that his lawyers advised him not to make any more public statements that could be used against him in shareholder lawsuits. I think @CNBC may be avoiding covering the story for the same reason.
