Totally nuts - a hugely regressive gas tax that crushes hurts CA’s poorest families. Laboratories of democracy. 🇺🇸 To be fair, avg prices according to AAA are closer but still about 2x - and the point remains the same. California’s average price (~$4.32) is significantly higher than Texas (~$2.38) - often about $1.90+ more per gallon.
