Wait, Merriam-Webster’s got jokes? Turns out like half of their timeline is humor. Makes me feel less weird now if even the dictionary people are messing around.

This is basically what Amazon did with AWS, before the age of AI. They had all this server capacity and systems to run the largest retail website in the world, and then were like, “let’s scale it to run other businesses’ websites and applications, too.”

https://t.co/isWPUMtGhF In an era of fiscal dominance, one of the few things that otherwise highly polarized political groups tend to agree on is that the state should take a bigger role. They then differ aggressively on why, how, and where. https://t.co/6kF5odogaZ

@uniquemoviemom So the stones grant the user basically everything, except heightened reaction time?

@BitPaine @CanadianSatoshi @Strategy They’ve indeed boosted their USD reserve and implemented a buyback program for the preferreds and common:

@UziCryptoo (Punchline: it's that the money supply increased faster than wages and drove up most prices, especially for meat.)

@jameslavish I'm batting a pretty low percentage on typos today. I meant, "One of my favorite uses of this meme."

One of my favorite doctors is Ahmad Ammous. I’ll give the standard medical disclaimer that I don’t necessarily agree with every post of his per se. I’m not the doctor. But I do know he wakes up every day looking how to heal people at the root level, and I appreciate his work.

@HodlMagoo This isn’t sarcastic btw. Magoo is smart. Given that he responded here, his hypothetical mechanism is valuable to know as we all model our way through this chaos.

@ToxiKat27 @carlabitcoin @WalkerAmerica As a typo fix, I meant cannot be overstated. The level of detail and quality that Walker and Carla bring to their projects cannot be overstated.

Eric is correct in multiple aspects here. Large swaths of government spending are inflation-indexed. And deficits as currently constructed contribute to the wealth divide. And yet, bonds underperformed virtually everything in the 2020s. Why? Because the US inflated it away. 😉

Happy to hop back on Macro Voices with @ErikSTownsend. We discuss topics ranging from the Fed to the re-usability of rockets. https://t.co/T7umKdxbpr I'm a fan of their title policy, btw. They ask the guest what the title might be. Making an objective, chill title for the talk probably hurts their views vs more sensationalist, misleading versions. So this is the one I'll amplify. 👍 For context: https://t.co/IlUXoJrumH

@RnaudBertrand Amazon is known for fake products, and this one isn’t doing itself any favors at looking genuine. And it’s volume five. Are people going to be like, “you know what, I want to read the fifth volume of these essays”? If they’re not already a major fan of his indirectly-collected content? Combined with lack of marketing and distribution, it’s just lost in the algo. Unclear to many people id it’s even canon rather than some small independent book attempt. Nothing shocking about it, really.

https://t.co/HzxbrXcBLz (Like really though. They have the fancy dust jacket genuine cloth cover version, and give the best discounts for wholesale.) When I gave a talk about my book at Princeton and they needed copies, it was Saif House they ordered from.

@BoringBiz_ That second item is good for you, but more importantly is good for the whole group. Be known as the problem solver. The leader, or just the grease, that gets things done above all else.

@BitcoinBendeer @WalkerAmerica @elonmusk Morgan Freeman is awesome, but he always sounds like Morgan Freeman. Carla voice-acts a terrorist, a sociopath, a special agent, the kindest person in the world, a young boy, and an eccentric ‘lady of the night’, and they all sound like different voice actors.

It's funny. I don't think pay-per-engagement is good for incentives (it encourages sensationalism), which is why I haven't turned it on after all this time despite now having ~1 million followers. But I agree with Devon that if it exists, it should be transparent+itemized. 🧵 My main concern with that level of detail is it gives more transparency to those who'd try to play the system. I suspect that's why @nikitabier doesn't do it. And that feeds back into why I dislike pay-per-engagement. If you can't make it transparent, there's likely a reason. Introducing tips would be a potential approach. Folks on the small decentralized social m…

@BitPaine @CanadianSatoshi @Strategy Credit to @BitPaine for reposting this. I wrote it deep in a thread, I saw it get little traction, but eventually he tweeted it. Then people saw it. But I knew he would. That’s why I bothered. One might agree or disagree with him, but he acknowledges points as they occur. 🫡

@BitPaine @CanadianSatoshi @Strategy People ask why MSTR should have a premium. Maintaining a USD reserve, and a number of highly liquid capital market tools (common stock, BTC holdings, preferreds, debt) and being willing to do counter-cyclical things with those tools, is the good-optics answer to that question.

BTW this ended up being true. Initial Iranian AI rap battles were really strong memes, but they peaked in April and nobody talked about them much in May or June even as they kept pumping new ones out for a while. I know a thing or two about memes, which is why I was willing to call the trend as visibly topping. Damage done, though. The effects from that early strike still linger.
