I don’t think pay-per-impressions is a great model anyway, since it incentivizes sensationalism. That’s part of why I’ve never taken a moment to turn on monetization for this app, despite my reach. So I think this own-country monetization weight reduces the issue to some extent. Solid proposal from @nikitabier or whoever originated it, imo.

In practice, the wealthy nations including Taiwan can scramble to bid high prices for unencumbered energy and materials to fill some/all of their gap, which will likely leave the worst shortages with the poorest countries.
