This is sad! You may or may not know, @TrustWallet faced this exact same bug years ago, a pseudo-random number generator, ie, not truly random, $12m in losses. They covered every user. Software will always have bugs. What matters is who’s behind it.

We might be in a bear market, but there is a lot of money looking for things to invest in. 🤷‍♂️

The guy is basically a scammer. Stay SAFU!

Even hardware wallets can have bugs. Even old wallets (with long history) can have bugs. How to mitigate? Split your funds in a few wallets maybe? This has a different set of risks. Nothing is 100%. Stay informed. Stay SAFU!

I had no communication with the Giggle Team about the recent selling (of donated tokens), but @GiggleAcademy do have a rule-of-thumb to convert/sell most donated tokens to BNB near the end of each month. I don’t manage the address personally. If you send or donate token to someone’s address, without any prior agreement or contract in place, don’t expect the receiving party to act according to your wishes, such as a burn. That just creates more work for the receiving party, which they have not agreed to do. If you wish someone to interact by sending them coins, then be ready for that …

Sad to see BitMex go. Some thoughts: BitMex pioneered 100x perps in crypto back in 2014. Delivery futures existed before then, making Fridays hectic. BTC deposits only, one chain only, withdrawals only once per day, through a multi-sig wallet. The constraints that seemed inconvenient kept them unhacked. All four founders pled guilty to BSA violations a month before trial, after 18 months of fighting it. $10m fine each, home confinement. No one went to prison. However, their business didn’t survive the “war on crypto” from the Biden admin. Lastly, wind down appears orderly, users can withdrawals their assets. Respect to @CryptoHayes 🫡
